Style Inspiration- Gwyneth Paltrow in Tom Ford at the Oscars I’m never shocked when I see women in gowns. My reaction is usually oh that’s nice or she looks gorgeous. When I saw Gwyneth in this number I said WOW. I don’t think anyone else could’ve pulled this off. She has the height and the frame for this. The cape is absolutely exquisite. Holiday Wish List Item- Tom Ford Nail Lacquer As if conquering clothing and accessories wasn’t enough Tom Ford has launched a nail lacquer line. The hues are rich and range from neutrals, to oranges and reds to deep purples. At $30 a pop I’m sure they will be on the nails of every socialite and fashionista from sea to shining sea. I hope the polishes have a special function, a la lasting non chip color. I have to get something special for my $30. I’m just saying.  PS- Don’t forget your nails are accessories. Make sure they stand out just as much as a statement shoe.

STYLE VISIONARY- Tom Ford 

After single handedly breaking sexy back to fashion as the head of Gucci and YSL, Tom Ford continues to push the envelop in fashion with his clothing and depictions of the nature of sexuality in his print campaigns. Fashion is Art, and Mr. Ford understands that. If only a few other designers did I can fall back in love with clothes. Mr. Ford has me at least blushing with his Fall/Winter 2011 collection. 

I salute you Mr. Ford. Oprah was right you are a visionary.
