Fashion on The Corner - Lupita Wows in Prada
That powder blue against her dark, smooth skin is nothing short of breathtaking.
She is a star. She inspires every girl of color to love the skin you’re in and to dream big.

Wisdom Wednesday- I have a thing for intellectuals. I need to be mentally stimulated constantly or I get bored. Am I weird? Yes, yes I am!
Fashion on the Corner-Message

Fashion on The Corner- Artistic Direction, Ms. Badu for Givenchy
This is art at its best. I would frame this and hang it on my wall. I don’t think anyone else could have pulled this off. Bravo to Givenchy for seeing her light.
Natural Hair on The Corner- Chasing That One Perfect Twist Out
Have you ever had a twist out that surprised you? It came out so well that you wished you could hold onto it forever. You slept with your head kind of on your arm, like Regina King did in Friday, so you won’t mess it up.
That’s the thing with natural hair. Every time you touch your hair is different. No two twists outs are alike. That’s why I laugh when people try to compare their hair to mine or ask exactly what I did. I’m looking like, I can’t get my hair to look the same always, how can you mimic my look? But that’s another conversation.
Anywho, I’ve been chasing this twist out for almost a year now. It was done on my birthday last year right after I colored, cut, deep conditioned and blew my tresses out. I used the whipped shea I made (raw shea butter, Jamaican Black Castor oil, olive oil, water and coconut oil) and a dab of Eden BodyWorks All Natural Coconut Shea Pudding Souffle in Soft Hold. My hair was so soft and had great definition. The color popped and it bounced as a I walked or spinned my head.
Ahhhhhh!! Does this happen to anyone else? Did you have a time, where your twist out was so great, you tried to recreate it over and over again? Do tell.
For all of you that call Balmain ( ball-mon) bal -main. This is for you.
We’ve all looked at certain names like how the hell do you say that? Well Elle has you covered.
