Style on the Corner- The Nike Air Yeezy 2
You can say what you want about Kanye West but the dude is just too creative to be silenced. Although I did give him the side eye because of this whole Kim Kardashian mess, I still love how his mind works.
In 2009, Nike collaborated with Yeezy, the first non athlete partnership for the brand and created the Air Yeezy. On June 9th the much anticipated Air Yeezy 2 will drop in select Nike stores. Priced much more reasonable than his $6,000 women’s shoes at a modest $245 the sneakers are set to be a great success.
Kanye, is really taking it to the moon, he has his hands in a lot these days. Would you rock these sneakers? I think they’re hot.

Take Note- Nicholas Kirkwood Opens First US Store
British shoe designer Nicholas Kirkwood opened his first store in the United States recently and chose no other than NYC to house his designs. The new store is located in the meatpacking district and even has his collaborative collections for sale. If you’re headed to the city stop by. The open space with plenty of windows and a sky light reminds me of a art gallery. The store is just fitting for his designs, after all they are art.

Take Note- MAC Cosmetics New Nail Lacquer Collection
Although the full line launches in July, MAC Cosmetics has been stirring up some conversation about their new nail lacquers. A permanent set of 30 colors ranging from nudes to deep pinks, to dark jewel tones, to metallics and glitters. They have the full spectrum of women covered from corporate ladder climbers to rockers. 11 shades are currently available on their website. At $22 a pop are you going to indulge? And am I the only one who notices how nails have become big business?
I’ve always said nails are accessories too, so treat them as such and have fun. I guess everyone gets it now. Happy mani/pedi!!!!
Take Note- Chaka Khan on American Idol
She is 59 years young and has been in the music game for along as we can remember but Chaka is not on everyone’s mind for her voice or her hits right now. Her 60 pound weight loss is truly amazing and she let it all hang out in that catsuit. She looked better in her catsuit than Fantasia in hers and she’s more than twice her age. If this isn’t motivation to get up, get healthy and bust a squat then idk what is.
Kanye’s shoes. I think they’re nice. Not 6 grand nice but they’re unique. The beading is outstanding.
